The clinic offers a calm, professional, and beautifully appointed space for both clients and clinicians. Supported by a highly experienced administrative team, Eight Mile Plains provides a stable and welcoming foundation for your mental health support.
New client intake is now open with select practitioners. We currently have low wait times for new appointments, but these spots can fill quickly.

Veronica Bell
SENIOR CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST & TEAM LEAD

Veronica has a special interest in cognitive assessment, with experience across a range of referrals including diagnostic, neurodevelopmental (e.g., intellectual, autism), academic/learning, psychological, decision-making capacity, functional behaviour, strengths and weaknesses, and comprehensive neuropsychological. She works across the lifespan and has a special interest in assessing decision making capacity. She uses her experience with delivering therapy to provide a comfortable space within the assessment setting, with the goal of ensuring clients have a comfortable and helpful experience.

Dr Pauline Baleta
SENIOR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Pauline is a registered clinical psychologist with close to 20 years of experience and is passionate about mental health. She is originally from South Africa where she worked in a vast majority of settings and gained diverse knowledge and skills in treating a variety of psychiatric difficulties. These include schools, foster homes, correctional services as well as psychiatric, forensic and general hospitals (with both voluntary, assisted and involuntary mental health care users) as well as private practice. She is currently working in private practice and consults for Queensland Correctional Services.

Sarah Sowry
PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Sarah is a Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced), and has recently completed a Master of Professional Psychology. She works with adults and younger adults experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, perfectionism, self-esteem difficulties, autism (Level 1 or 2), grief and loss and adjustment to life transitions. Sarah's warm and gentle demeanour creates a safe environment where clients can comfortably explore their thoughts and emotions. Committed to building trusting therapeutic relationships, Sarah focuses on facilitating meaningful therapeutic progress.

Marion Peters

Mia is currently completing her postgraduate studies in psychology, with aspirations of becoming a clinical psychologist supporting adolescents, focusing on neurodivergence, eating disorders, and complex trauma.
When she's not studying, you can find her enjoying sushi, taking cozy naps, or curling up with a good book. Mia loves binge-watching TV shows and spending time with her two cats, Bean and Kumi.
