Kristy is a Provisional Psychologist currently completing her Master of Clinical Neuropsychology. She has a strong interest in neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan, with a particular focus on cognitive and adaptive functioning in the context of NDIS funding and supports. Before pursuing Clinical Neuropsychology, Kristy worked with NDIS participants as both a support worker and as a team leader/manager of supports. This experience inspired a passion and drive to change the way that she could support those who access the NDIS, and to be a voice to advocate for adequate supports. Beyond the NDIS space, Kristy is also passionate about supporting individuals undertaking rehabilitation journeys by working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Through determining an individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses in combination with understanding their short and long-term goals, this enables the development of tailored recommendations and strategies that address the unique needs of each client and their families.
When she is not studying or at work, Kristy enjoys exploring different parts of SEQ on her motorcycle or finding new medical shows to watch.
