Key points from the video:

After being diagnosed with heart failure, you may feel unsure about what activities you can and can’t do. It is common to hear that you shouldn’t exercise. However, if you enjoyed exercising before, there is no reason you cannot start again.

Why physical activity is important:

  • Can reduce heart failure hospitalisation

  • May improve your quality of life

Set your physical activity goals:

  • Try to be active most days of the week

  • Aim to have a slight puff as you walk

Cardiac rehabilitation can help improve your physical activity after heart failure.
